Lucius got his first sippy cup. I think he likes it.

Of course, Winter and Suriya had to get in on the action.

Gabriel got a haircut.

That's all I got.

1 chocolate angel food cake
1 bottle of Hershey's syrup
1/2 gallon of vanilla ice cream
1 can of Reddi-Whip

$10

Walking in the door from a long day of work and having all my kids yell "Mommy, you're the best!"

Priceless.

I have no idea what day this was

I've been so busy all the days are blurring together. At some point in the last week, we carried on the traditional breakfast of chocolate Kix.

Mouse amazed me with her ability to get the baby to stay asleep after transferring him to the playpen.

And the kids hammed it up for the camera at every opportunity.

Early this afternoon Dan, our neighbor, knocked on my door and asked to see Gabriel. Gabriel went outside and saw Dan had caught a garden snake. Of course all of the kids had to go out and see it.

Surprisingly, nobody was afraid and they all took turns petting it.

Later aunt Mouse came over to watch the kids while I worked.

When I came home my kids were asleep. The house was tidy, the kids were in pajamas and asleep in their beds. It was such a relief to see them being well taken care of.

I had to take a belly shot of Mouse. She's so cute!

She made me dinner and watched a show on the dvr with me. It was nice to have some company.

It was a good day.

Sunday, August 2nd, 2009

I've been awake since 4:30am because Suriya fell asleep at 7pm last night and I guess she has no concept of mommy's exhaustion. Sigh.

So the babysitter got mixed up on my work schedule and showed up at 7:30 and decided to stick around to help me before work. Good thing too because I can barely lift the baby my back and arms are so sore.

So we sat outside for a bit, and then D. came by with a Rockstar for me.

And two for herself that Lucius really wanted.

So today is Lucius's 6 month birthday. We decided a little applesauce with dinner might be nice.

Of course I had a lot of help feeding him, but he totally loved it.
